Maria's Trattoria is a hidden Italian gem in the North Melbourne suburb. The food is simply delightful and they come in generous portions that leave you very satisfied. And the prices are reasonable for such quality food. Praise must also be given to their warm and friendly staff. They made me feel like family from the moment I walked in. It is worth mentioning that the interior looks a bit dated due to the restaurant's long history, but it is still kept very clean and tidy.

Exquisite Italian food. I think it is one of the best trattorias that I've ever tried in Melbourne. I ordered Garlic bread, Prosciutto, pasta romana and lemon merengue. We felt like in home, because the people who attended us were attentive, warming and kind. Definitely, we will go back. Grazie mille! P.s. Maria's is BYO, so you can bring your own wine.

Went to try as Google reviews gave good words on this trattoria. Ordered Gnocchi and Fetuccini. I asked for recommended sauce to go with the Gnocchi and I loved it, Gnocchi was soft, sauce was tasty and thick but not too filling. Portion is very generous too. Even the garlic bread is so good!! And thank you for your great hospitality :)

A lovely small Italian trattoria that has the vibrancy and feel of one you may find in a small town in Italy. Wonderful friendly service and hospitality and authentic menu. Unfortunately the pasta was very over cooked and broke easily by my fork. The flavours of the sauce however was well balanced and enjoyable.
